Adipotide

Adipotide(also known as *prohibitin-targeting peptide 1) is an experimental compound designed to promote weight loss by selectively targeting and destroying the blood vessels that supply fat cells (adipose tissue). 

Mechanism of Action:
Adipotide’s action focuses on the blood vessels that support fat tissue:
1. Selective Targeting: Adipotide binds specifically to receptors on the blood vessels that supply white adipose tissue (WAT), which is the body’s primary fat storage.
2. Inducing Apoptosis: By attaching to these blood vessels, Adipotide induces apoptosis (programmed cell death) in the blood vessels, effectively cutting off the blood supply to fat cells.
3. Reduction of Fat Mass: Without sufficient blood supply, fat cells begin to die and are eventually cleared by the body, leading to a decrease in body fat.

Potential Benefits:
